PeaceWorks is looking for volunteer teachers in Swahili and Moroccan Arabic!
During the last week of June, PeaceWorks offers a course in Global Justice for anyone who is interested and people who are going for internships abroad. We want to offer our foreign trainees to Morocco and Tanzania / Kenya shorter language lessons as part of their preparation.
To hold a language course at the basic level on Friday 28 June between 14-16 and Saturday 29 June between 14-16.
Who are we looking for?
1) A person who can teach Swahili preferably with knowledge of both Kenyan dialect and Tanzanian dialect. You should be able to organize a structured language workshop where you teach basic phrases, words, slang and grammar. You do not need to know Swedish. You don’t have to be a teacher. You are welcome to be under 30 years of age.
2) A person who can teach Moroccan Arabic. Please note that we are just looking for Arabic Moroccan dialect. You should be able to organize a structured language workshop where you teach phrases, words, slang and some grammar. Using videos and music is ok! You do not need to know Swedish – but be able to speak basic English in order to explain to the participants! You don’t have to be a teacher. You are welcome to be under 30 years of age.
